A planning estimate, calculated in your browser. Not financial advice.
A wedding is one of the largest planned expenses many families make — and the calmest way to fund it is to start saving early and steadily. But how much a month actually gets you there?
This free Wedding Savings Calculator works backwards from your goal. Enter the amount you need, what you have saved already and how many months remain, and it shows the monthly saving required — with optional interest if you save in an FD or RD. Everything runs in your browser, nothing stored.
The Wedding Savings Calculator tells you how much to set aside each month to reach a wedding savings goal by a target date. It accounts for money you have already saved, and optionally for interest earned if your savings sit in an interest-bearing account.
Instead of guessing, you get a clear monthly target you can build into your budget from today.
Saving without a target is how shortfalls happen. This tool helps you:
The calculator subtracts your current savings from your goal to find the gap, then divides it across the months remaining. If you add an expected interest rate, it uses the future-value method: your existing savings grow over time, and each monthly deposit earns interest until the wedding, so the required monthly amount is a little lower.
Change the goal, timeline or rate and the monthly target updates instantly.
Without interest:
With an annual rate, using the monthly rate i and n months:
Example: a ₹6,00,000 goal, ₹1,00,000 saved, 20 months and no interest needs ₹25,000 a month. With savings growing, the required monthly amount is slightly lower.
Example 1 — Goal ₹5,00,000, saved ₹0, 25 months, no interest: ₹20,000 a month.
Example 2 — Goal ₹6,00,000, saved ₹1,00,000, 20 months: ₹25,000 a month without interest.
Example 3 — the same goal with a 7% annual return on a recurring deposit: the monthly figure drops modestly as interest does part of the work, showing why saving in an interest-bearing account helps.
